Complete training tasks and survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete the Umbraco training modules. As a web author you play a vital role in ensuring the UniSC website is current and timely.

As a final step, please complete the training survey after you complete the training task. (NB: completing the survey will notify the Website Team you have completed training and prompt the set-up of your profile on the live website.)

Complete your training tasks

Module 1: Access the Umbraco Backoffice
  1. Go to edittrain.usc.edu.au/umbraco
  2. Enter your UniSC credentials
  3. Explore the Umbraco backoffice and familiarise yourself with how to access your workflows, review dates and broken links.​
Module 2: Creating a new web page
  1. Create a new web page under usc.edu.au/study using the Text page doc type
  2. Title the web page '<your name> training'
  3. Before you can save your web page, you will need to complete the Metadata tab
  4. Select the Metadata tab, add five keywords, a page description and set the review date
  5. Copy and paste the content in the Word document attached to your training invitation email
  6. Select Save and preview at the bottom of your page. A new tab will open with a preview of your web page.​
Module 3: Editing web content
  1. Format your content with heading styles
  2. Create a table
Module 6: Workflows
  1. ​Once you have finalised your edits, click 'Save' to save your changes
  2. Use the 'Request publish' button to send your updates through the workflow
  3. Add a comment in the text box and select 'Request publish'

  1. Submit a Umbraco training survey.

The website team will review your training page and advise when you have access to the Umbraco live site (edit.usc.edu.au). Submission of the training survey is what will notify the team that you have completed training.
