Sian Campbell Training

You are invited to complete online training for new web editors of the UniSC website.

The website is managed by our content management system (CMS), Umbraco

  1. Visit the Umbraco training modules to learn how to access the backend of the website, referred to as the Umbraco Backoffice. In the training modules you’ll learn how to create and edit content as well as how to send your edits for publish approval. Every page of the website has an approval process known as a workflow.
  2. After you have read the training modules, you’ll be prompted to log into the Umbraco training site, which is a replica of the live website. You can practice some of the editing tasks you’ve reainksd about by completing training activities in the Umbraco training site, using the attached document.

To log into the training site:

Paste this URL (edittrain.usc.edu.au/umbraco) into your browser to log on to the training site using your UniSC credentials.

Once you’ve completed training be sure to complete the survey at the end of your training modules and this will notify the Website team. Upon reviewing your training page and quiz responses, we will then provide you with access to the live website.

Please note, your user profile for the training site will automatically deactivate if training is not completed within 4-5 weeks. If deactivated, you will need to request web author training again.
